Reginald George Albert Bailey (1938–2023) joined the club in 1970 and became a Life Member. A dedicated athlete who loved cross-country and road racing, he competed into his 80s, including over 300 Parkruns at Havant.We also sadly report the passing of former member John Brothers (1931–2023), whose company, JB Air Heating, generously sponsored several club races.

About the event
The Southern Athletics League (SAL) is a track and field competition for combined men's and women's teams across the South of England. In 2025, the SAL fixtures are scheduled for Saturday, May 17; Sunday, June 22; Sunday, July 13; and Saturday, August 30. These events provide athletes with opportunities to compete in various track and field disciplines, fostering athletic development and team camaraderie.
