The Victory 5 Road Race in Portsmouth, UK, is a celebrated annual event that attracts runners of all levels from across the country. Part of the Hampshire Road Race League (HRRL), this legendary race has a history dating back to 1946. Held each year in honour of the city’s maritime heritage, the race takes participants on a scenic, 5-mile route around Lakeside. This year marks the final time the event will be held on the current Lakeside course. From next year, the race will move to a brand-new, even faster and more scenic route starting along the picturesque promenade, passing around the Mountbatten Centre, and finishing back at Lakeside. The new course promises to build on the event’s strong legacy while offering fresh excitement and stunning coastal views.
